Why You Should Listen to Your Body
Listening to your body is essential for maintaining health and well-being. It helps you recognize signs of stress, fatigue, and discomfort before they escalate into more serious issues. By being attuned to your body’s needs, you can make informed choices that support your physical and mental health.
2
What It Means to Calm Your Mind
Calming your mind involves reducing mental clutter, stress, and anxiety to achieve a state of peace and clarity. A calm mind allows for better focus, improved decision-making, and enhanced emotional regulation, contributing to overall life satisfaction and productivity.

How Yoga can Help
Yoga is a powerful practice that connects the mind and body through breath, movement, and mindfulness. By practicing yoga, you learn to listen to your body’s cues and respond with compassion. Yoga techniques such as asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), bandhas (locks), mudras (gestures), kriyas (purification), nidra (relaxation) and meditation help calm the mind, reduce stress, and promote a sense of inner peace.

About
My name is Mirelli Shimizu
I am a Yoga instructor with a postgraduate degree in Yoga from FAIPE and certification from IEPY, in Brazil, as well as from the Kaivalyadhama Institute, in India, one of the oldest and pioneering yoga institutes in the world, and the first to proactively conduct scientific research to demonstrate the benefits and uses of Yoga. For much of my life, I relied on dissociation and overthinking as defense mechanisms, creating a barrier between myself and the world around me. While these patterns protected me during challenging times, they also disconnected me from my body and emotions, leaving me feeling numbed or overwhelmed. The practice of Yoga taught me to cultivate awareness and reconnect with my body as a source of strength and wisdom. I will be honored to hold space for your unique journey!
